Our Two Year Old Provision is a special place full of learning, laughter and friendship. We strive to provide the best possible educational provision in a stimulating and creative environment where all children are happy; feel safe and are valued. Our two year olds have their own room and own outdoor area within our Early Years building with age appropriate resources and furniture.
We foster a love of learning inspired by high-quality teaching which develops and builds upon your child's individual strengths and talents. We believe that children learn best by direct experience and interactions between people and their environment; through established routines and inspirational activities. We value the strong relationship with our local community and we encourage a positive partnership between children, their home, the provision and the wider community who help us to support the children in our care to develop into individuals who will lead happy and rewarding lives. We invite our parents and carers to our weekly Stay & Play sessions, coffee mornings and have professional speakers in to help with child development.
We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum which places focus on providing an environment which supports children’s Communication and Language, Physical and Personal, Social and Emotional Development. All children will have the opportunity to engage in activities on different themes during the course of the year. They will also access independently all the learning areas within the classroom and outdoor environment. These have been carefully planned to meet the children’s needs and interest.
We currently provide places for up to 24 children, 12 in the morning and 12 in the afternoon.
We offer part time places in both the morning and the afternoon, Monday to Friday, during term time only. Morning sessions run from 9:00am to 12:00pm, and afternoon sessions from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.
These are funded places for 2 year olds. A significant number of two year olds are now eligible for free childcare.
To assess your child's eligibility for a 2 year old Free Early Education place, YOU MUST apply by creating an account on our parent portal.
If eligible the system will provide you a code which you must add to the application form.
From time to time, if we have not filled our FEEE places, we are able to offer paid-for 15 hour places to 2 year olds who are not eligible for the free 15 hours. If this is you, please fill in the form and choose 'Paid for 15 hours for 2 year olds if space is available'.
Please complete an admissions form. Once the form is completed, the office staff will be able to verify your eligibility. If you are eligible for a place, you will be contacted by a member of our nursery staff who will provide you with a start date and invite you for our Stay & Play sessions. If you are applying for a 'paid for place' a member of our nursery team will contact you.
