Last year not all year 5's got the chance to go camping and many missed out on a fabulous experience to create memories.

After the success of the year 4 sleepover last year, we wanted to open the opportunity up to as many children as possible to spend the night under the stars in a tent with their friends.

The children will have a full day and night at Lambourne End .

They will leave from school at the normal school daytime and head to the centre. On arrival they will have a tour and see their tents. Then they will have a selection of activities from caving to a farm walk. On the evening there will be a camp fire with marshmallows and then to bed in their tents. Then they will wake up for another breakfast and another activity before catching the coach back to school.

Blackbird will go Tuesday 29th April and return Wednesday 30th April

Buzzard will go Wednesday 30th April and return Thursday 1st May

Barn Owl will go on Thursday 1st May and return Friday 2nd May.

They will need outdoor clothes and warm sleeping clothes.

The tents will be in a secure field and there will be separate girls and boys tents. School staff will be camping alongside them. Unfortunately, there is a cost of £80. We will be doing fundraising in school to try and reduce this cost. There are vouchers to buy in the school office, ideal for birthday gifts, Eid presents and rewards.

There will be another meeting before the event to go through the list of things the children can and can't bring. But if you have any questions before, please don't hesitate to ask. You can pay on parent pay or at the offices.

 
It's trips like this that provide those lifelong memories and help develop life skills and confidence all ready for year 6 .
