This week in Art we learned how to make Salt Dough. We then used the dough to make our own hedgehog. Using things like pasta and straws to create their spikes.

In Science we learned about how animals have adapted to suit their habitats. In particular we looked at a Camel and a Polar Bear. Here is some of our writing.

In computing this week we looked at Algorithms. We used the Beebots to write our own algorithms.

In English we learned all about postcards. We pretended we were Wilbur (The main character in our story) and wrote a postcard home to mum describing all of the things we had seen and done.

As part of nature studies and computing this week we looked at different camera angles and used them to take photos of all things Nature at MG. Here are some of the photos we took.

This week we have been using Dienes to practise subtracting 2 digit numbers. 

 In English we used drama to recreate the story that we have been reading in class. The Legend of The Golden Snail.

In Nature studies we looked at different textures and creating texture rubbings of things in our wildlife area.

This week we have been using Dienes to practise adding 2 digit numbers. 

In English we learned about conjunctions. We wrote some conjunctions about different parts of the story we have been reading in class. The Legend of The Golden Snail.

In Nature Studies we also used our senses and looked at the different sights, sounds, smells and textures of the wildlife area.

This week in nature studies we used ice cream cones, vegetable fat, bird seeds, string and cheerios to make Bird feeders.

This week we learned that our first Science topic will be Habitats. We learned about a few different ones and then created a collage of a habitat.
