At Mission Grove Nursery we are committed to providing an inclusive, warm, friendly, and nurturing environment, in which each child is encouraged to reach their full potential through praise, sensitive interactions, and mutual respect.
We encourage children to learn through play, with a balance of free choice and daily adult-led activities.
All children have the opportunity to play outdoors in our garden as many times as possible throughout the day.
We aim to form a strong working partnership with parents/carers, so that information regarding your child’s - developmental, social, or health-related - can be exchanged easily and comfortably by parents/carers and staff. Each family has a named key person.
On starting nursery, there is a settling-in period. The length of this period is flexible but at the start of settling-in, your child will do shorter hours with the parent/carer present or nearby part of the time. As your child settles in, a gradual transition is made to doing the full complement of hours without the parent/carer present. You are welcome to stay with your child, for a period of time, to settle them into their day; perhaps sharing a book with them, or playing alongside them at an activity of their choice. Each child is unique and we work with families to ensure that the settling process is as pleasant as possible for everyone.
Please complete our application form and submit it to our school office. Our Nursery Teachers will contact you within a few days via email to either arrange a visit to our setting or if we do not have any spaces available to put your child on our waiting list. We will then contact you as soon as a place becomes available.
